Several radio CEOs today at the UBS media conference in New York say a compromise between Republicans and Democrats to extend income tax cuts may help lift the business climate, and in turn radio. Entercom CEO David Field predicts, “We will see more robust ad spending in 2011.” The consensus is radio will stay positive next year, but the CEOs say what happens with local billings will determine by how much.
