Shaquille O'Neal retires after 19 NBA seasons - 4 championships with the Los Angeles Lakers and 1 with the Miami Heat

Shaquille O'Neal says on twitter that he is retiring after 19 NBA seasons.

O'Neal sent a tweet shortly before 2:45 p.m. saying, ''I'm retiring.'' It included a link to a 16-second video in which he says, ''We did it; 19 years, baby. Thank you very much. That's why I'm telling you first: I'm about to retire. Love you. Talk to you soon.''
