NEW DETAILS: President Obama to Travel to New York City
WASHINGTON – On Thursday, August 11, the President will travel to New York City and return to Washington, DC, that evening. The arrival and departure of Air Force One at JFK International airport are open to pre-credentialed media, but closed to the public.
Members of the media who would like to attend the arrival/departure of Air Force One should RSVP HERE http://www.whitehouse.gov/webform/mediarsvp/af1arrival/departure/newyork-8-11-11 by 5pm ET Tuesday, August 9.

Air Force One Arrival and Departure
ARRIVAL
Location: John F. Kennedy Airport
Building 208
New York, NY
Directions: Use the Van Wyck Expressway and follow signs toward Kennedy Airport/678 South. Approaching the airport, take Exit B and yield right at the fork on to 130th Place Road. Take a left at West Hangar Road and continue to Building 208 at the end of the road. All media interested in covering the arrival of Air Force One must be at Building 208 at 4:25 pm.
Coverage: Open to pre-credentialed media
Press Pre-Set: 1:25 – 2:25 pm
No Access to Equipment: 2:25 – 3:25 pm
Media Access: 3:25 pm
Final Access: 4:25 pm
Media Parking: Access road behind Building 208
Media entrance and check-in: Media must be at Gate 2 (located on the west side of Building 208) by 4:25 pm.
Live truck parking: Directed on-site; escort required on tarmac
Air Force One arrival: 5:25 pm (estimated)
Throw: 150 feet
Cable run: 400 feet
NOTE: If media plan to cover both the arrival and departure of Air Force One, they may leave the airport but all equipment must remain in place. Media must arrive back at Building 208 by 7:00 pm in order to cover departure.
There is no workspace, power, or internet available on-site.
