Radio steady at 242 million listeners.

The radio industry’s quarterly report card on how many people the medium touches shows 242.5 million Americans tune to radio on an average weekly basis. That’s flat with figures Arbitron released three months ago. But the ratings company says radio’s weekly cume has grown by more than 430,000 weekly listeners compared to a year ago. The daily time spent listening to radio among persons age 12 and older also held steady. The average American spends 2 hours and 36 minutes a day with radio.
