N.C. State overcame a big deficit to shock LSU in the final seconds of Thursday night’s East region game in Pittsburgh when sophomore forward BeeJay Anya hit a left-handed hook in the lane to give the Wolfpack a dramatic victory.

N.C. State students packed the Talley Student Center back Raleigh and anxiously watched the game’s final sequence. As Anya’s shot rolled around the rim, clanged off the backboard, and eventually fell, the room went bonkers.

Anya scored his only four points of the game in the final minute to help his team overcome an LSU 14-point second-half lead.

The win moves the Wolfpack into the Round of 32 where they’ll take on No. 1 seed Villanova on Saturday night.
