Help us stop the confirmation of Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions to United States Attorney General

Letter by NAACP President/CEO

Senator Jefferson Sessions is a threat to our voting rights and the civil rights we've fought for centuries to gain. We've got to stop him and the best way to do so is to testify.

Last week I was arrested in Alabama protesting against his nomination for Attorney General, tomorrow I'm heading to the Senate hearings in the nation's capital to testify and tell America why Sessions is the wrong person for the job!

Have you contacted your senators yet? They need to hear from you before the hearing begins. Send a letter to them in just a few clicks. http://action.naacp.org/page/speakout/reject-senator-jeff-sessions?utm_medium=email&utm_source=NAACP&utm_content=2+-+Send+a+letter+to+them+in+just+a+few+clic&utm_campaign=20170109session3&source=20170109session3

I'll tell the Senate how it's not the old Jeff Sessions we've got to worry about but the current one hiding his true record in sheep's clothing, attempting to look like a friend to civil rights when his real and hidden record says otherwise.

Support us now in this fight as we speak truth to power. Contact your senators now. http://action.naacp.org/page/speakout/reject-senator-jeff-sessions?utm_medium=email&utm_source=NAACP&utm_content=3+-+Support+us+now+in+this+fight+as+we+speak&utm_campaign=20170109session3&source=20170109session3

Already sent a letter to your elected officials? Tell your friends to make their voices heard before it's too late. https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=Don%27t+allow+hate+to+overtake+justice.+Tell+your+senators+to+%23STOPSESSIONS+%3E%3E+http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2F2j0B512&utm_medium=email&utm_source=NAACP&utm_content=4+-+Tell+your+friends+to+make+their+voices+h&utm_campaign=20170109session3&source=20170109session3

Our future depends on not letting Sessions pull the wool over their eyes.

Stand up and stand strong now!

Yours in justice,

Cornell William Brooks
