Washington, D.C. -- Tuesday, June 6, 2017, Congressman Al Green (TX-9) will host a Press Conference to address drafting articles of impeachment.

“I am drafting articles of impeachment based on obstruction of justice by President Donald J. Trump. The facts are simple and indisputable. The President fired the FBI Director because the Director was investigating the President’s campaign connections to Russian interference in the Presidential Election.

“This is obstruction of justice. This will continue to be obstruction of justice regardless of testimony given by Mr. James Comey. This will remain obstruction of justice regardless of the findings of any investigation.

“The question that only Congress can answer is whether the President can obstruct justice with impunity. The American people are watching. History is judging. The truth will prevail. Obstruction of justice by the President is the problem. Impeachment by Congress is the solution.”
