Labels Reject Radio Royalty Offer.
The National Association of Broadcasters has done what a year ago would have been unthinkable. With a vote by the Joint NAB Board agreeing to terms of a tentative deal already agreed to by the Radio Board, the broadcast group yesterday offered to pay musicians and record labels tens of millions of dollars in performance royalties. Yet an agreement with the music industry appears no closer.
