Journalist Keith Murphy dies

 Keith Murphy (photo below), a veteran Milwaukee broadcaster whose "The Urban Journal" was heard nationally five days a week on Sirius XM radio and formerly heard on the Syndication One News-Talk Network, died Sunday at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

According to his wife Delores Murphy, Keith fell Saturday in an apartment he had just rented in Baltimore last month. Murphy turned 56 on October 31.

Murphy is a native of Washington DC where Murphy started his broadcast career at the old WFTY-TV and Radio One's WOL 1450am radio, before moving to Wisconsin.

Murphy also worked at the African American Media Incubator, co-founded in 1994 by Murphy's father, restaurateur Ed Murphy, his mother, Pearl Murphy, and David Honig, who now heads the Minority Media And Telecommunications Council.

Keith Murphy's Funeral will be held this Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. for viewing and 10:30 a.m. for service. Funeral Services are in the care of and will be held at:
