Netanyahu's Nonsense

Commentary by John Miller

Benjamin Netanyahu's AIPAC speech was a tortured, twisted exercise in historical revisionism; convoluted at its core rationale of a demon Iran, bent on killing and terrorizing Jews, Americans and freedom lovers everywhere.

That aside, a few questions deserve immediate answers from anyone wishing to defend Netanyahu's nonsensical rhetoric promoting the sanctity of his "Jewish" state, and our going into yet another totally unnecessary war to prop up this racist regime. Indeed, these questions deserve a response from anyone who cares about the consequences of the events unfolding before us.

First, if the Zionists are the "masters of our fate" why do they take $70,000,000,000 a year from us and expect us to protect them unconditionally, from responsibility for their own hegemonic actions and decisions? Is that what a "master" expects? To be bailed out of every fix he gets himself into? Israel, if you are going to be masters of your own fate, has it ever occurred to you to go it alone, instead of sucking at the teat of the American taxpayer?

He boldly states, concerning Jews on one hand, and on the other, Palestinians: "And the purpose of the Jewish state is to defend Jewish lives and to secure the Jewish future." He also says right before: "The only place in the Middle East where minorities enjoy full civil rights; the only place in the Middle East where Arabs enjoy full civil rights (namely in Israel); This smacks of the racist rationale for American slavery, claiming how fortunate Africans were to be enlslaved and brought here in shackles, rather than suffer in Africa.

At any rate, what happens to Arab lives in this great kindred democracy of Israel, where Palestinians and other Arabs are so lucky to live? The answer is obvious. Palestinians "enjoy" no more "rights" in Israel than Blacks under South African apartheid. In reality, Palestinians suffer many severe restrictions as citizens of this so-called Israeli "democracy". They are at best second-class citizens.

Moreover, Palestinian lives are obviously not worth defending in this Zionist state, or our dear "friend" Bibi would not have pointedly confined his reference of protecting lives to the Jews living in Israel. So this is the "democracy" on which we are so willing to squander our treasure and sacrifice the lives of our own children? Really?

Look, the lies, half-truths and outrageous predictions perpetuated by Benjamin Netanyahu last night leave me gasping. They are far too numerous, even in the short time frame during which this poison was spewed out, for me to address fully here. I will instead do the following: I will encourage you to openly consider my viewpoint, even if it appears "radical" to you right now. In doing so you may find that what I am saying is not so far at all from the truth.
