Reach Media and Radio One, Inc. Combine Their Network Programs to Create the Leading African-American Network Radio Company
The assembly of top talent, programming and prime national advertising inventory make Reach Media the leading radio network with the ability to speak directly to the African-American audience. In 2013, Reach Media will use its strong affiliate lineup and relationships with leading Urban stations to also launch a new network. Reach Media’s new network is expected to be in the top tier of radio networks and have one of the largest African-American audiences of any radio network. Reach Media will expand its dedicated sales and marketing staff to sell the radio network advertising inventory along with web and event sponsorships. In making the announcement, Radio One CEO and President Alfred Liggins and Reach Media CEO David Kantor also disclosed that Radio One would increase its ownership stake in Reach Media from 53% to 80%.
