"I am very proud of the hard work that Rickey and his team have put forth to achieve absolutely unprecedented success both in terms of ratings and new stations," says Gary Bernstein, President of Programming for Syndication One. "The show is on fire and with the number of new stations looking to sign on, plus the unparalleled work ethic of the entire team, I fully expect this extraordinary story of rapid affiliate expansion to achieve even greater heights in the months ahead."
According to the latest PPM 3-Book average (Source: Arbitron July, August, September 2010 Adults 18-34), the Rickey Smiley Morning show has been on a major roll: #1 in Miami on WEDR with an 8.5; #1 in Baltimore on WERQ with a 9.9; #2 in St. Louis on WHHL with an 8.1; and #3 in Atlanta on WHTA with a 6.9. The Rickey Smiley Morning Show can now be heard on more than 45 stations across the country and has recently added a three hour weekend program called "The Weekend Jump Off." Smiley is also currently preparing for a national TV special which will be taped at the Atlanta Civic Center on October 23rd. Although I love Rickey Smiley as a comedian, I preferred Steve Harvey's morning show. It saddens me that we lost Steve Harvey and his crew but I am happy for Rickey and his success.
